Bassculture is an independant organization located in Amsterdam that organizes since 2003 cultural events and manifestations, promotes artists and since 2012 releases music on Bassculture label. The mission is to create crossovers between music, art and cultures. By programing a mix of local and international artists, the foundation becomes a platform for new meltdowns and developments. With “Bass” as an undertone, Bassculture is about roots & reggae, caribbean, afro jazz, miscellaneous sounds, UK-garage, psychedelic sounds, digital dub and steppa, with a deep respect to the vinyl culture we stand for.

The foundation is born in 2003 by programing on a local radio and shortly after organizing events in local nightclubs, which turned up to be a big success. Bassculture has never stopped growing since about then. With our core group of people that are willing to put in their time and effort to make it work, we hope to stay an inspiring and forward-thinking organization that promotes music, art and culture for many more years.
